Yani Zeng

12th grade
Novi High School

My name is Yani, and I’m currently a senior at Novi High School in Novi, Michigan. I joined this project because I’m very curious about Asian Immigration stories myself and want to share those that often go unheard. Oral history is something I was unfamiliar with, but am thankful to have gained skills in interviewing, research and storytelling through this project. A fun fact about me is that I was born and raised in Germany and moved to the US two years ago. English is my third language.
